HistoryThe Lakewood Park Campground and Venue are located on the former property that once entertained guests as the 'Lakewood Park' amusement park and theater. Thousands flocked from all around to enjoy amenities that the park once offered (including music, rides, swimming, music, theater, boxing, and more).
The park has not been used for entertainment purposes since 1984; but now has changed with the opening of Catalpa Grove and Lakewood Park Campground, which now allows families to come together for events, camping, fun, fishing, and relaxation.
